Spring ~ The season of the year, occurring between winter and summer, during which the weather becomes

 

warmer and plants revive, extending in the Northern Hemisphere from the vernal equinox to the summer solstice

 

and popularly considered to comprise March, April, and May.

 

That is spring according to dictionary.com, but it's so much more to me!  Spring is an awakening and refreshing!

 

Spring means running through open fields and falling on the muddy, soppy ground.  Its time to break out the flip

 

flops (even though I still wore them all through January), and try on those halter tops.  Spring means tanning and

 

prom dress shopping.  Its a time when everyone is scrambling before summer in school and at work.  New tests

 

and bigger projects.  Fun events and summer road trip planning.  This is the first year I've really noticed a change

 

in myself during spring.  No more crabby Shasta, I've rollin' down the windows!  New loves....hint hint ;-) you

 

know who you are...new friends...new activities...new experiences.  But the one thing I do not enjoy about

 

spring is the thought of losing the seniors in the end.   May is bittersweet, for I know I will lose all my mentors,

 

old boyfriends, and girlbuds of the NRHS senior class.....but ITS OKAY WE HAVE THE SUMMER!
